1. Acceptance

When you load any page on this site, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please stop using the site.

2. The service

Timedecimal provides free, browser-based calculators that convert time between HH:MM and decimal hours, plus reference articles. We may add, remove, or change features at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You may:

  • Use the calculators for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial.
  • Quote short excerpts from our articles with attribution and a link back.
  • Embed a link to a calculator in your internal documentation.

You may not:

  • Scrape the entire site for content republication.
  • Use the site in a way that disables, overburdens, or impairs it.
  • Reverse-engineer protections to bypass advertising or rate limits.
  • Misrepresent that our content is your own work.

4. No professional advice

Timedecimal provides calculation tools and reference articles. We do not provide legal, tax, payroll-compliance, or HR advice. Where we cite regulations (such as the FLSA), we link to the primary source so you can verify the rule yourself or with a licensed professional.

If your decision has financial or legal consequences, consult a qualified attorney, CPA, or payroll specialist.

5. Accuracy and warranty

We work hard to keep formulas accurate, but the service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Timedecimal and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed USD 100.

7. Third-party content and links

We link to third-party websites for source citations. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content. Following an outbound link is at your own discretion.

Advertisements served by Google AdSense are governed by Google’s policies. We don’t endorse any product, service, or claim made in advertisements.

8. Intellectual property

The Timedecimal name, logo, and original written content are owned by us. All rights reserved. The calculator’s underlying mathematical methods are public knowledge and not protected.

9. Changes to the service or terms

We may modify these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after the “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in the state where the operator is domiciled.
